It is the belief of Community Support Services, Inc. that all people, regardless of disability, have the right for, and are given the opportunity for, community life as it relates to integration, participation, and presence. Given personalized support services which assure respect, dignity and equity, people with disabilities have a limitless potential to become what is within them to become. Combining the individual's desire; with our support services, the opportunities for growing, learning, experiencing and enjoying life are never-ending. |
Our agency’s emphasis is to provide opportunities for growing, learning, experiencing and enjoying life! We are especially proud of our commitment to provide quality services. We base our philosophy on Outcome Based Services, ensuring systems to listen and observe are in place to find out what will make each individual’s life a quality life. We are then committed to putting the necessary supports in place to work towards and or meet these outcomes.
In more recent years we began completing an ‘Essential Lifestyle Plan’ for each person we support in Comprehensive Services. The plan includes a guided process for learning what is important to a person, what others like and admire about the person, interests and choices and preferences, what others need to now to support the person, characteristics of people who best support the person, ways to stay healthy and safe, what is making sense and not making sense in the person’s life and things to figure out. This process results in action plans, to ensure follow through.
This is a commitment that has proven very successful, in that we truly believe it has assisted in what we consider a never ending process in improving the quality of the lives of the people we support.
We are proud of the results of our continuous monitoring and surveys from oversight entities as well as the positive results of our continuous customer satisfaction surveys.
