Community Support Services, Inc. is currently looking for Host Home Providers. We are looking for individuals and couples who are sincere in their commitment and desire to care for and provide quality services and supports to the people we support. 
If you answer yes to the following questions, we would like to speak with you:
o   Do you believe having choices and opportunities enhance our quality of life and experiences?
o   Are you a good role model?
o   Are you able to teach the skills necessary to assist the people we support in being as independent as possible?
o   Are you willing to take part in activities and try new things even if you have to put your personal likes and dislikes aside?
o   Are you resourceful? Will you take the time look for opportunities that the person you support may be interested in such as special events, social gatherings, and hobbies?
o    Are you a good listener and problem solver?
o   Do you have strong interpersonal skills? Can you work cooperatively with others and in the best interest of the person you are supporting?
o   Can you provide 24 hour supervision knowing that some of the people we support attend a day program or work regularly?
o   Do you like the idea of owning your own business and working out of your home?
o   Do you believe that we can all achieve our goals when provided with the encouragement and support to do so?
This is an Independent Contractor position. Host Home Providers are required to pass a background screening process; have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; register for a trade name; provide proof of current auto, homeowners / renters, and general liability insurances. The home must meet safety requirements.
Community Support Services, Inc. will provide:
  • Extensive, free training to prepare you for your Host Home position. Training includes: Orientation, Defensive Driving, First Aid and CPR, Medication Administration, Crisis Prevention Intervention, and Helping People Get Better Lives.
  • Individualized training about the person you will support in your home.
  • Ample opportunity to get to know the person you may potentially support in your home with our initial meeting and visitation process.
  • Access to 24 hour support from our Nurse for medical questions and concerns.
  • Access to 24 hour support for assistance from Administrative and Management staff.
